Council’s Draft Community Engagement Framework and Draft Community Participation Plan is on exhibition for public comment until Monday, 4 November at Council’s Administration Building, 366 George Street, Windsor from 8:30am to 5pm and may be also be viewed anytime on Council’s website www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au or via Your Hawkesbury Your Say www.yourhawkesbury-yoursay.com.au

The drafts have been prepared to provide a consistent and best practice approach to ongoing and meaningful engagement with local community members and stakeholders. The Draft Community Participation Plan specifically targets engagement on land use planning matters.

The plans will expand on consulting with communities about policies and land use planning as well as provide input for the design of community facilities and a range of other Council activities.

The Draft Community Engagement Framework and Draft Community Participation Plan aims to guide Council staff, and those undertaking engagement on behalf of Council, in how to plan and deliver quality and inclusive engagement as well as to strengthen relationships with the community, local business, community groups and other stakeholders.
