Mayoral Column

I know many of you are concerned about what you are reading in social media, news outlets and/or what you have heard from friends and family about Coronavirus (COVID-19). To obtain accurate and official information about COVID-19, please go to the NSW Department of Health website at www.health.nsw.gov.au and the Federal Government website www.health.gov.au

Council is implementing changes to its operations and services to limit opportunities for transmission of the virus within our local community and to ensure the ongoing provision of Council services to the community.

We have closed all public access to our Administration Building in Windsor and many of our facilities, including Richmond Swimming Centre, Oasis Aquatic and Leisure Centre, Hawkesbury Indoor Stadium, Upper Colo Reserve, Visitor Information Centre, Museum, Gallery, Richmond Branch Library and Hawkesbury Central Library. As this is a rapidly changing situation, a full list of all facilities and services affected by Council’s operational response to COVID-19 is available at www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au and on our official Facebook page www.facebook.com/hawkesburycitycouncil

Library members are encouraged to use the wide range of online resources at https://www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au/library/elibrary including eBooks, eMagazines, eAudio, children’s games and activities.

New library memberships - join online and call the Library to complete your membership – you will be issued with an online only membership, which can be upgraded to a full membership upon showing ID when Hawkesbury Library Service reopens.

Essential services are being maintained including all waste collections – domestic, recycling and green waste, kerbside collection and Hawkesbury Companion Animal Shelter.

Please use Council’s online services at www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au and for any enquiries, including bushfire recovery enquiries, please call Council’s Customer Service on 4560 4444 or email council@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au
