Hawkesbury City Council is proud to sponsor the 40th St Albans Folk Festival, which will be held over four days from Thursday, 25 April to Sunday, 28 April in the historic St Albans village, during the Anzac Day long weekend.

I really want to congratulate the organisers on their 40th Festival, which is not only an amazing feat but also a wonderful contribution to the community.

To help support this hugely popular festival even more, Council has provided more camping areas and improved the toilet facilities to ensure the festival will be a great experience for everyone.

This event is loved by locals and international visitors alike, and it’s great to see St Albans welcome everyone into such a vibrant atmosphere along the banks of the Macdonald River.

The affordable, family-friendly festival provides the chance for music lovers to embrace folklore festivities where they can join in or relax as well as children’s activities, international food stalls, market stalls and more. Come along to enjoy the sounds of fiddles, accordions, banjos, acoustic guitars, and singing!

The unique festival showcases local and interstate performers, songwriters and musicians, offering a diverse range of traditional and modern sound, with over 50 acts to enjoy, including the Shane Howard Trio who will thrill everyone with ‘Solid Rock’.

One of Australia’s oldest pubs, the Settlers Arms Inn will provide entertainment on the outdoor stage, with great pub meals available. To book workshops and to purchase four day, weekend or day passes, visit www.stalbansfolkfestival.com.au or Facebook.
