The 2018 Seniors Festival, now in its 60th year, is featuring a theme of Let’s Do it Together’, with the Hawkesbury region hosting plenty of events for Seniors. Eligible seniors can also claim one week's free access to Hawkesbury Oasis, just visit www.ymcansw.org.au/promotion/seniorsfestival to complete the form or in person at Hawkesbury Oasis - just make sure you lodge your form between 4 April to 15 April.
I’m also pleased to tell you that THE POPPY PROJECT will be launched on Friday, 13 April at Hawkesbury Central Library, 300 George Street, Windsor from 10am to midday. This free event means you can be part of a project that aims to make 2,000 poppies for an installation to commemorate the WWI Armistice Day centenary. Bookings are essential by calling Sonia Ward on 4560 4460. Please bring you own knitting needles, crochet hooks and wool. Patterns will be provided
There is also the free Premiers Gala Concert for Seniors and the 2018 NSW Seniors Festival Expo, also free, both at Darling Harbour. For details about this, and hundreds of events and offers across NSW, visit https://seniorsfestival.nsw.gov.au/home
