Mayoral Column

The Ring the Bell to Save Our Historic Windsor Bridge campaign has seen so many of you ring the bell and sign petition.

We have now placed the bell at Hawkesbury Regional Museum, 8 Baker Street, Windsor, a very appropriate place for a campaign to save our history. Please come along and meet our friendly Museum staff, Wednesday to Monday 10am to 4pm, to sign the hard copy petition and ring the bell that we have at the Museum! We need over 10,000 signatures for it to be heard for debate by the NSW Government. You can even take your photo and post it to social media #savedbythebell

We need everyone to help save the historic Windsor Bridge from being demolished following the construction of the new Windsor Bridge by the NSW State Government.

This 1874 bridge offers huge tourism potential to the Hawkesbury community as a gathering place for events, markets and a peaceful link over the Hawkesbury River from Windsor. Whether you are a local business or tourism operator, a resident, a Hawkesbury visitor, a member of a historic society or simply someone who wants to enjoy walking on this heritage bridge, this is your chance to have your say.

Sign the petition today at our Museum and contact NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian via www.nsw.gov.au/premier-of-nsw/contact-premier or tweet @GladysB on Twitter and mention @GladysB on Instagram or tag @gladysnsw on Facebook to save Our Historic Windsor Bridge.
