Waste 2 Art Competition Online

Registrations to be apart of Waste 2 Art Online must be completed by on Friday 24th July 2020. No registrations can be accepted after this time and date.

Submissions must be sent to Hawkesbury Events via Facebook messenger or email by Friday 31st July 2020.

This Competition is open to Hawkesbury residents only.

Artwork Details

Guidelines for Artwork

  • Artwork must be UNIQUE and DIFFERENT.
  • The artwork must be made entirely of used/recycled materials.
  • 3D Artwork must be within 20cm³.
  • 3D artwork submissions must provide 4 photos one of each angle of the artwork.
  • 2D artwork must be no bigger than 20cm x 20cm.
  • 2D artwork submissions must provide one photo.
  • Artwork must not be dangerous and may be refused entry if it poses as a hazard.
  • Only one artwork per child will be accepted.
  • Students will be judged per stage 1, 2 and 3.
    • Stage 1 - Kindergarten to Year 2
    • Stage 2 - Year 3 to Year 4
    • Stage 3 - Year 5 to Year 6
  • There will be three prize winners per stage.

    • First Place: $200 Gift voucher for art supplies.
    • Second Place: $100 Gift voucher for art supplies.
    • Third Place: $50 Gift voucher for art supplies.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Students must register their participation by Friday 24 July 2020 via submitting the online Waste 2 Art registration form. Late registrations will strictly not be accepted. All details must be included. No unregistered artworks can be displayed.
  2. A picture of your artwork must be sent via email to events@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au or via Hawkesbury Events facebook messenger by Friday 31st July. This is non-negotiable. Each photo submitted must not exceed 3MB.
  3. The winners will be announced by the Mayor on Friday 7 August at 4pm on the Hawkesbury Events facebook page.
  4. The winners will be contacted via phone to organise the collection of their prize.
  5. The results of the competition will be announced to local media. All entrants grant permission to the organisers to publish and/or broadcast the names and photographs of the winners through print and electronic media.
  6. Winners will be displayed at the Hawkesbury Central Library, 360 George Street, Windsor for 2 weeks from the Monday 10 August to Sunday 23 August 2020.
  7. Council will take all reasonable care in handling and dealing with works submitted, however Council will not be responsible for any loss or damage incurred to any of the artworks or materials.
  8. Artwork must be collected from Hawkesbury Central Library between 3-5pm on Monday 24 August. Any artwork which is not collected will be discarded.
  9. The cost and means of transport to and from the Hawkesbury Central Library are the responsibility of the entrant.
  10. Students can only enter the competition once. One artwork entry per person. Please note: registrations for the 2020 Waste 2 Art online competition is open to primary schools located in the Hawkesbury Local Government Area only.
  11. All entries must fill in the registration form, entries won't be accepted without the registration form.
