Artwork Details

Guidelines for Artwork

  • Artwork must be UNIQUE and DIFFERENT to classmates
  • The artwork must be made entirely of used/recycled materials.
  • 3D Artwork must be within 20cm³.
  • 2D artwork must be no bigger than 20cm x 20 cm.
  • Artwork must not be dangerous and may be refused entry if it poses as a hazard.
  • Only one artwork per child will be accepted.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Students must register their participation by Sunday 21 July 2019 via submitting the online Waste 2 Art registration form. Late registrations will strictly not be accepted. All details, must be included. All students must be pre-registered due to point 4 below. No unregistered artworks can be displayed.
  2. Artwork must be dropped off to Hawkesbury Central Library between 3pm-6pm on Monday 22 July or Tuesday 23 July. This is non-negotiable. Parents or teachers can drop off artworks on behalf of the students.
  3. The winners will be announced during Local Government Week in a launch event at 6pm on Monday 29 July 2019 at the Hawkesbury Central Library, Deerubbin Centre, Windsor. The results of the competition will be announced to local media.
  4. All entrants grant permission to the organisers to publish and/or broadcast the names and photographs of the finalists and the winners through print and electronic media.
  5. Entries will be displayed at the Hawkesbury Central Library, Deerubbin Centre, 300 George Street, Windsor during Local Government Week (29 July – 4 August 2019).
  6. Council will take all reasonable care in handling and dealing with works submitted, however Council will not be responsible for any loss or damage incurred to any of the artworks or materials.
  7. Artwork must be collected from Hawkesbury Central Library between 3-6pm on Monday 5 August 2019. Any artwork which is not collected will be discarded.
  8. The cost and means of transport to and from the Deerubbin Centre are the responsibility of the entrant.
