The Great War 1914-1918: Hawkesbury Heroes

The Great War 1914-1918: Hawkesbury Heroes - is a display at Hawkesbury Regional Museum commemorating the Centenary of WWI. Hawkesbury Heroes tells, through personal objects and memorabilia, the experiences of some of the more than 600 Hawkesbury servicemen and women who served in the Great War. There are those who led troops, those who were wounded, those who survived and those who did not make it home.

Many of the objects on display, which include uniforms, medals, letters, equipment and other memorabilia, have never before been on display to the public. They have been kindly loaned to the Museum from both private collections and from family members of WWI soldiers for the duration of this exhibition.
