Free movie – Bootmen

Bootmen will screen at Hawkesbury Central Library on Thursday, 10 May 2018 at 10am and again at 6pm.

This Australian comedy drama is loosely based on the life of ‘Tap Dogs’ choreographer and Bootmen director, Dein Perry. Charismatic tap dancer Sean (Adam Garcia) is determined to leave a life of working in a Newcastle steel mill to chase his passion, and become a cutting-edge tap dancer. Also starring AFI award winning actor Sam Worthington, this movie is full of energetic and masculine tap dancing on industrial steel.

The movie, on loan from the National Film and Sound Archive, will screen in the Tebbutt Room, Deerubbin Centre, 300 George Street Windsor. Entry is free however; bookings are essential via Eventbrite or call (02) 4560 4460.

Tea and coffee will be available before the screenings and everyone is also welcome to bring along their own snacks and drinks. The movie runs for 89 minutes and is rated M. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Suitability for viewing is at the discretion of the parent/carer.
