Free movie – Slate, Wyn and Me

Slate, Wyn & Mewill screen at Hawkesbury Central Library on Thursday, 13 September at 10am and again at 6pm.

Adapted from the novel Slate & Me and Blanch McBride by Georgia Savage, the 1987 Australian drama follows two reckless brothers Slate & Wyn (Martin Sacks and Simon Burke) who bungle a bank robbery and then kidnap their only witness (Sigrid Thornton). What ensues is a lengthy cross country escape with both brothers eventually falling for their hostage.

The movie, on loan from the National Film and Sound Archive, will screen in the Tebbutt Room, Deerubbin Centre, 300 George Street Windsor. Entry is free. WWhile bookings are not essential it would be appreciated via Eventbrite or call 4560 4460.

Tea and coffee will be available before the screenings and everyone is also welcome to bring along their own snacks and drinks. The movie runs for 91 minutes and is rated M. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Suitability for viewing is at the discretion of the parent/carer.

Movies @ your Library events are held on the second Thursday of the month, except January.
