Australia Day on the Hawkesbury 2019

Celebrate Australia Day 2019 at a free family fun, food and fireworks community event proudly hosted by Hawkesbury City Council on Saturday, 26 January 2019 from 4pm to 9pm. It will be held at Governor Phillip Park, Windsor from 4pm to 9pm

The special event will include:

  • An outdoor stage with live entertainment including local artists and the ‘Lets Groove Tonight’ band
  • Waterslides and carnival  rides
  • Food and drink stalls plus food trucks
  • Free face painting
  • Children’s activities and games
  • Roving Entertainment
  • RAAF Striker Fire Truck on site for public access 6pm to 8pm
  • Fireworks
  • No BYO alcohol, bags checked upon entry.

Jumping castles, a giant water slide, face painting and many other fun activities will entertain the kids while parents and carers can relax and enjoy the atmosphere by the beautiful Hawkesbury River. There is also the recently completed playspace at Governor Phillip Park for children to enjoy.

A variety of food trucks with hot food and refreshments will be available throughout the evening. The celebrations will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display at 9pm on the river.

Australia Day on the Hawkesbury 2019 is proudly sponsored by Windsor RSL, Hawkesbury Race Club, Richmond Club, Hillbilly Cider and Prismatic Events.

The Hawkesbury will also welcome new citizens at a special Citizenship Ceremony at 5:30pm on Friday, 25 January 2019 at the Hawkesbury Regional Gallery, Windsor.

Following the citizenship ceremony, the Australia Day Awards Ceremony will commence at Hawkesbury Regional Gallery at 7:30pm on Friday, 25 January 2019. RSVP or call (02) 4560 4404.
