Free movie – Dead Poets Society
Dead Poets Society will screen at Hawkesbury Central Library on Thursday, 12 July at 10am and again at 6pm.
Australian filmmaker Peter Weir directs the BAFTA award winning film Dead Poets Society, featuring Robyn Williams in one of his most defining roles. Also starring Matt Damon, this moving and inspiring film follows the unorthodox teaching methods of an English teacher (Williams) who challenges his students to step outside the box, and live life to the fullest.
On loan from the National Film and Sound Archive, the movie will screen in the Tebbutt Room, Deerubbin Centre, 300 George Street, Windsor. Entry is free but bookings are appreciated, though not essential, via Eventbrite www.hawkesburylibrary.eventbrite.com or call 4560 4460.
Tea and coffee will be available before the screenings and everyone is also welcome to bring along their own snacks and drinks. The movie runs for 124 minutes and is rated PG. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Suitability for viewing is at the discretion of the parent/carer.
Movies @ your Library events are held on the second Thursday of the month, except January.
