Free movie – Flirting

Flirting will screen at Hawkesbury Central Library on Thursday, 13 December at 10am and again at 6pm.

Flirting is the 1990 coming of age film set in an Australian boarding school during 1965. The film features Noah Taylor and Thandie Newton as two teenagers in a budding romance, navigating the social conventions of the sixties. Winner of four AFI awards, the film directed by John Duigan also features Nicole Kidman in one of her final roles before her Hollywood breakthrough.

The movie, on loan from the National Film and Sound Archive, will screen in the Tebbutt Room, Deerubbin Centre, 300 George Street Windsor. Entry is free. Bookings are not essential, however would be appreciated via Eventbrite or call 4560 4460.

Tea and coffee will be available before the screenings and everyone is also welcome to bring along their own snacks and drinks. The movie runs for 95 minutes and is rated PG. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Suitability for viewing is at the discretion of the parent/carer.
