A Whoopsy-Splunkers Roald Dahl School Holidays

Hawkesbury Library is offering a whoopsy-whiffling, phizz-whizzing Roald Dahl inspired program for kiddies and teen human beans this spring school holidays. In partnership with WestWords, we also have a collection of Roald Dahl international book covers on display.

This display of Roald Dahl book covers from around the world, showcases the marvellous and memorable ways illustrators have depicted Dahl’s stories. Cover to Cover is presented in partnership with Westwords for the Sydney Writers’ Festival, thanks to the Roald Dahl Estate (UK) and Penguin Random House.

Even the Big Friendly Giant could play these oversized games. Drop in any time to play. They will be set up throughout the Library all holidays.

REVOLTING RHYMES WRITING WORKSHOP

Friday, 12 October 10-11am

Author and illustrator, Matt Cosgrove, has worked as a university lecturer in comic art and a creative director of a magazine, but his passion has always been creating children’s books. Join him in this Roald Dahl-style creative writing workshop to learn how to construct your own revolting rhymes.

$5 – all materials supplied - bookings essential. For 8-12 years.

All activities are held at Hawkesbury Central Library, Windsor, unless otherwise indicated and are for school aged children (children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult). Some workshops have a small fee, payable at time of booking.
