Extra Weekly Recycling over Christmas and New Year

During this Christmas and New Year period in the Hawkesbury, Council will provide an extra two weeks of recycling services from Monday, 24 December 2018 to Friday, 4 January 2019.

The information from the past several years showed that the highest demand for recycling is the week of Christmas Day and the week of New Year’s Eve. Council aims to assist residents with their additional recycling over the busy Christmas and New Year period by offering extra recycling.

Residents can also access the Waste Management Facility excluding public holidays to drop off large pieces of cardboard from new appliances and household purchases.

For all your extra recycling, just place your yellow lid recycling bin out on your scheduled bin collection day each week to receive the extra recycling collections.

The Recycling Services will return to normal fortnightly collections after Friday, 4 January 2019.

In Area 1, which includes Richmond, Windsor, Bligh Park, Agnes Banks, Pitt Town and Yarramundi, the next recycling collection will be the week of 7 January 2019.

In Area 2, which includes North Richmond, Wilberforce, the next recycling collection will be the week of 14 January 2019.

Recycling Bin Collection Calendars are available online on Council’s website http://www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au/environment/waste-management/waste-and-recycling/household-services/collection-information or search Recycling Calendar on the Council website.

There are no changes to the garbage and garden organics collection services.

Bin Collection Days remain the same even on public holidays.
