Over $52,000 in ClubGrants local funding

Eight non-profit organisations and community groups have shared in $52,425 funding from the local ClubGrants Scheme, which is funded by the local clubs Windsor RSL, Panthers North Richmond and Richmond Club.

The Mayor of Hawkesbury, Councillor Barry Calvert formally announced the funding at a presentation on Tuesday, 13 August at the Hawkesbury City Council Chambers. Representatives from the donating clubs awarded the cheques to the successful organisations.

Hawkesbury City Council is proud to help Hawkesbury clubs to prioritise funding to local organisations based on projects that address local needs.

The non-profit community organisations will benefit from a range of projects including outdoor play area improvements for three preschools such as sensory gardens and bike tracks; better appliances for a school canteen; new fencing for a before and after school care/vacation facility; iPads; a bariatric ceiling hoist and a ‘counting for life’ program.

Through ClubGrants, over $1 billion has been provided to recipients by registered clubs to communities across NSW to support schools, charities, sporting groups, health services and other agencies. The Scheme is open to non-profit community organisations that have projects which address community welfare, community development, and community health and employment assistance activities.
