Discover your Supa Powers at the Library this school holidays

Hawkesbury Library is presenting a ‘Supa Program’ these July School Holidays. Learn how to draw your own comic strip character or how to move like a superhero. Oliver Phommavanh (author of Thai-riffic! and Con-nerd) will be involving kids in a fun writing workshop, or come along to make your own mini Supa Shield.

Numbers limited for all school holiday activities, so use your Supa powers and book in Supa quick!

All activities will be held at Hawkesbury Central Library, 300 George Street, Windsor.

FREE COMIC BOOK DAY

Monday, 8 July 10am-4pm

Drop into the library and choose from a range of second hand comics and manga. While there, check out the new graphic novels titles or browse the anime DVDs.

WRITING WORKSHOP

Wednesday, 10 July 2pm-3pm

Develop your writing skills at this fun workshop.
$10 – all materials supplied. For 10 years+.

SUPERHERO COMIC ART

Tuesday, 16 July 2pm-4pm

Create your own superhero character then produce a storyboard comic strip for them to star in.

$5 – all materials supplied. For 8 years+.spiderman

MINI SUPA SHIELD

Thursday, 18 July 2pm-3.30pm

Using perler beads, design a key-tag in the shape of a superhero insignia.

$5 – all materials supplied. For 5 years+.

SUPERHERO TRAINING

Friday, 19 July 2pm-3pm

Action Reaction Entertainmentwill present an acrobatic show to inspire all would be superheroes. At this supervised session you will develop acrobat skills and superhero moves.

$10. For 5 years+.

All activities are for school aged children (children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult).

Some workshops have a small fee, payable at time of booking.
