eBooks for All Ages

Did you know you can borrow children’s books, adult fiction, non-fiction books, and audiobooks twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week from Hawkesbury Library Service, without even walking through the library door? The answer is ‘e’ for electronic books, otherwise known as ebooks or eaudiobooks.

The magic of the internet means that all you need is a smart device like a tablet or smartphone, and a Hawkesbury Library membership to start downloading ebooks or eaudiobooks instantly, from the comfort of your own home. Our online catalogue of eBooks and eAudiobooks plus instructions, can be found in the ‘elibrary’ on our website www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au/library, and are available for members to download anywhere and any time free of charge.

If you are not sure where to start, or you need help to install the reading apps on your device, or need help to how to navigate your way around the reading apps, then book in to our free eLibrary workshop on Wednesday, 26 February, 1:30 to 3pm at Hawkesbury Central Library, 300 George Street, Windsor. Workshop participants must have a membership card, an email address and are required to bring along their own tablet device or smartphone. Bookings for the workshop are essential via www.hawkesburylibrary.eventbrite.com or call 4560 4460 to book in. Book now as seats are limited.
