Kerbside Cleanup Survey
Hawkesbury City Council is undertaking a public consultation process to gauge the needs of the community for household bulk waste (kerbside cleanup) services.
As part of this process, members of the community are encouraged to participate in an online survey which is available to the public until 17 December. The feedback will be included with the other forms of public consultation underway to enable Council to make informed decisions about any future household bulk waste cleanup services.
Other ongoing consultation includes focus groups (chosen from volunteers who previously participated in the Hawkesbury Community Strategic Plan) and an extensive telephone survey of a cross section of the Hawkesbury community.
Various options are being considered such as:
* Residents make their own arrangements for bulk waste disposal
* Continue the existing “on call” service
* Provide a “scheduled” service to the existing properties with a service
* Expand “on call” service to all properties with a garbage service or
* Pay per use – council charges a fee as residents use the service.

Development Applications Recently Determined
Notice under Section 101 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, 1979, the following Development Consents were determined by Council.

CONCRETE BATCHING PLANT ( SUBJECT TO DETERMINATION BY THE JOINT REGIONAL PLANNING PANEL)
Notice is given pursuant to Section 79(1)(d) of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, 1979, that Hawkesbury City Council is in receipt of an Designated Development Application for a Concrete Batching Plant at Lot 24 DP 1010188, No. 40 Fairey Road, South Windsor.
The applicant is PGH Environmental Planning. Hawkesbury City Council is the consent authority.
The applicant is seeking development consent for the construction and operation of a concrete batching plant.
The proposed development is defined as designated development under Section 77A of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
The development application and the documents accompanying the application, including the environmental impact statement may be inspected and will be on public exhibition for the period 9/12/2010 to 9/01/11. All plans and details may be inspected between 8:30am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday, at Council''s Administration Office, 366 George Street, Windsor. During the public exhibition period ( 9/12/2010 to 9/01/2011 ) any person may make a submission in writing to Council in relation to the development application. Where a submission by way of objection is made, the grounds for objection are to be specified in the submission.
Please note that confidentiality is not available to objectors. The details of any submissions may be included in a Council report or forwarded to the applicant where it may help to resolve design or operational problems. Information (including copies of submissions) may also be released in accordance with Council Policy for Access to Information.
An objector who is dissatisfied with the determination of a consent authority to grant consent to a development application for designated development (including designated development that is integrated development) either unconditionally or subject to conditions may, within 28 days after the date on which notice of the determination was given in accordance with the regulations, and in accordance with rules of court, appeal to the Court in accordance with Section 98 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, 1979 unless the proposed development is development about which the Planning Assessment Commission has conducted a review. Should the Planning Assessment Commission conduct a review of the application, the Minister’s determination of the application is final and not subject to appeal.
