Local Government Week 2010 - Building a Brighter Future!

Local Government Week will be celebrated in the Hawkesbury from 2-8 August with a program packed full of activities and events for all ages and interests, including children’s activities at the library, free child restraint checking(4 August), and native plant and weed identification sessions (3,6 August). Other events include an open morning at the Community Nursery (4 August); a Family History Fair (7 August) at the Hawkesbury Central Library, Windsor; talks on the Indian Myna Trapping Program and Bushcare (5 August). There will also be a special presentation on ‘Preparing your property for fire - the DO’s and DON’Ts’ in conjunction with the Hawkesbury Rural Fire Service (3 August) and a food handling seminar which is free to charities and service organisations (4 august) and the special event of the annual Sports Awards presentation ceremony will be held on 2 August.
