Draft Pesticide Notification Plan
The Pesticide Notification Plan sets out how Hawkesbury City Council will notify members of the community about pesticide applications it makes or permission it gives to apply pesticides in public places that it owns or controls.
The aim of the plan is to meet the community’s general expectation to know what pesticide applications have been made to outdoor public places that are owned or controlled by public authorities. Council ensures that pesticides are applied to public places in a safe, responsible manner, minimising harm to the community or the environment.
The plan has recently been revised and community comment is being sought. A copy of the draft plan can be viewed, free of charge at Council Offices, 366 George Street, Windsor during business hours or may be viewed on Council’s web site www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au. All comments should be made to the Manager, Parks and Recreation Hawkesbury City Council, PO Box 146, Windsor NSW 2756 in writing and must be received by close of business on Friday, 28 May 2010.
