The next Hawkesbury Household Chemical CleanOut will be held on Sunday, 21 August 2011 at the Hawkesbury City Waste Management Facility, The Driftway, South Windsor.
Only household quantities are accepted (20kg or 20L maximum) of paint & paint related products, herbicides, pesticides, poisons, gas bottles, fire extinguishers, pool chemicals, hobby chemicals, acids & alkalis, solvents, household cleaners, motor oils, fuels, fluids, batteries, and fluorescent globes and tubes.
This service is provided by the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage.

Draft Amendments to Hawkesbury Development Control Plan 2002
Council has prepared draft amendments to the Hawkesbury Development Control Plan 2002. The draft amendments are as follows:
* Part A Introduction – Chapter 1 General Information, Chapter 2 Types of Development and the Development Application Process, Chapter 3 Notification of Development Applications.
* Part B Exempt and Complying Development – Chapter 1 Introduction, Chapter 2 Exempt Development, Chapter 3 Complying Development.
* Part C General Guidelines – Chapter 9 Preservation of Trees and Vegetation.
* Part E Specific Areas – Chapter 7 Windsor District Baptist Church Site.
The draft amendments and supporting documentation is on public exhibition during the hours of 8.30am and 5pm at the Council offices 366 George Street, Windsor for the period Friday, 5 August 2011 to Monday, 5 September 2011.
The draft amendments and supporting documentation can also be viewed on Council's website www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au Interested persons are invited to inspect the draft amendments and supporting documentation.
Written submissions will be received by Council throughout the exhibition period with the final day for submissions being 5 September 2011.

Under Section 147(5) of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, any person who makes a submission to Council may be required to disclose
any political donation or gift. Where relevant a Political Donation and Gift Disclosure Statement is to accompany any submission lodged with Council.

Tenders are invited for the ‘Hire of one landfill compactor at the Hawkesbury City Waste Management Facility’. This tender includes the provision of one landfill compactor for dry hire for a 3 year period with an optional 2 year extension.
Tender documents are available for free at http://tenders.nsw.gov.au/wsroc or at Council’s Administration Office, 366 George Street, Windsor for a non-refundable fee of $50.
Tenders will be received by Council until 3pm on Thursday, 25 August 2011.
