Community Sponsorship Program 2011/2012
Round 1 of the program is currently open and applications will be received until the close of business, Friday 1 July 2011, for funding early in the new financial year.
The program covers any Hawkesbury based community organisation, business or individual wanting to undertake activities that address the needs of the community as identified in Council's adopted strategic, community, cultural and other plans. It also covers individuals who are representing the Hawkesbury at a state, national and international sporting competition or cultural event.
Hawkesbury City Council will assess the applications and provide sponsorship to support activities or events which will benefit the residents of the Hawkesbury within the available resources. The purpose of Council's sponsorship program is to enable community groups and individuals to access resources that would otherwise be unavailable to them. These resources could include:
* Financial - in terms of direct funding
* Human - in terms of advice, skill and expertise of Council staff
* Material - in terms of goods and services provided directly by Council as an 'in-kind' contribution
If you would like more information on sponsorship opportunities or to apply for funding, please contact Hawkesbury City Council''s Community Facilities and Grants Co-ordinator Trisha Sundin on Ph: (02) 4560 4576 or Patricia.SUNDIN@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au .

Windsor Sewerage Scheme - 24 hr Maintenance Service for Sewer Problems
If you are in the areas of Windsor, South Windsor, Bligh Park, Windsor Downs, Clarendon, McGraths Hill and Pitt Town, Hawkesbury City Council provides you with sewerage services.
Problems With Your Sewer?
Council's Water Management Staff at the Administration Centre, George Street, Windsor, can help you with any problems, such as reporting of sewer overflows and/or any complaints (such as odours etc), that you may have with your sewer where possible. If sewer related problems occur outside of normal working hours, please call (02) 4560 4444 and follow the prompts for assistance. Your call will immediately be transferred to an officer on duty.
Shouldn't I Just Ring a Plumber?
It is best to contact Council first through our 24hr, seven day a week service so that we can identify whether the problem is with the sewer system or is related to your property. This may be able to save you the expense of calling out a service person.
Maintenance Programme Ongoing
Council is continually undertaking maintenance works to ensure cleanliness and a continuity of service to you.
If you have any enquiries regarding system serviceability, general maintenance, expected response time in the event of a sewer blockage etc; please contact Ramiz Younan Manager – Waste Management on (02) 4560 4519.
