Access and Inclusion Plan Survey

Hawkesbury City Council is committed to eliminating barriers which prevent residents and visitors from participating fully in community and civic life.

Council has adopted an Access and Inclusion Policy to provide a practical framework by which Council, the community and business can work together to remove these barriers over time.

Council is currently in the process of developing a new Access and Inclusion Plan. As part of this process we are seeking comment from the community about their experience of living in the Hawkesbury.

Your contribution will help us deliver strategies, timelines and indicators for the new plan; allowing the Hawkesbury to continue to prosper both socially and economically.

Development Applications Recently Determined

Notice under Section 101 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, 1979, the following Development Consents were determined by Council.

Integrated Development Proposal

Lot 1 DP 87241, 74 George Street WINDSOR NSW 2756

Hawkesbury City Council has received a development application for Commercial Premises - Alterations &/or additions - awning over alfresco dining deck at the above property. The applicant is O''Mara Constructions Pty Ltd. Hawkesbury City Council is the consent authority.

The proposed development is defined as integrated development under Section 91 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 because an approval under the Heritage Act 1977 is required. The approval body is the NSW Heritage Office.

The development application and supporting information will be on public exhibition for the period 3/04/2012 to 7/05/2012. All plans and details may be inspected between 8:30am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday, at Council''s Administration Office, 366 George Street, Windsor.

During the exhibition period any person may make a submission in writing to Council in relation to the development application, quoting reference DA0046/12. Where a submission by way of objection is made, the grounds for objection are to be specified in the submission. Should you lodge a submission, your views will be taken into account as part of our assessment and a reply will be forwarded to you when the application is determined.

Please note that confidentiality is not available to objectors. The details of any submissions may be included in a Council report or forwarded to the applicant where it may help to resolve design or operational problems. Information (including copies of submissions) may also be released in accordance with Council Policy for Access to Information.

If you have any concerns about the proposal, it is suggested that you speak with the assessing officer so that all aspects may be fully discussed. Matters such as privacy, overshadowing and impact on adjoining owners are a normal part of our assessment.

Tender No 00913 - TENDER for the Windsor Foreshore Landscape Works (Howe Park)

Tenders are invited for the Re-construction of the Windsor Foreshore landscape works (Howe Park).
Tenders will be received up to 3pm (AEDT) on Wednesday 30 May 2012.

Tender documents can be downloaded free at http://tenders.nsw.gov.au/wsroc or available at the Council Administration Office enquiry counter at 366 George Street, Windsor, during business hours and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $110 (inclusive of GST).

Tenders may only be submitted by the means described in the tender documents and must be received by the closing time. Late tenders will not be accepted.
