Community Information

Hawkesbury City Council is looking for community groups, churches, sporting organisations and schools that hold events for Christmas to be part of a Christmas Calendar of events for the Hawkesbury.

The program of events will be publicised through Council’s channels and will include advertisements, flyers and banners.

Promoting Christmas events in the calendar provides organisations the unique opportunity to reach a wider audience and it is FREE. It is also a positive opportunity to promote events in the Hawkesbury to our surrounding communities.

To submit details about your event for the Christmas Calendar visit, www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au and complete the registration form. Forms must be submitted by 5pm Friday, 28 November 2014 to be included.

Expressions of Interest Invited from Tourism Operators for New Visitor Guide JR 0554

Hawkesbury City Council is developing a new Hawkesbury Region Visitor Guide with an anticipated release by March 2015.

A prospectus is currently being distributed to local tourism operators to provide an opportunity to participate in the new visitor guide.

Hawkesbury Visitor Information Centre (VIC) will offer tourism operators the chance for promotion in the guide on a strictly ‘first in first served’ basis. Tourism operators will be asked to send a completed booking form via email to tourism@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au.

The guide will be distributed through the VIC which directly services 17,500 visitors per year and through neighbouring regions through the Accredited Visitor Information Centres such as Glenbrook, Echo Point, Katoomba, Parramatta, Hunter Valley, Darling Harbour and the Rocks. Copies will also be distributed at major local events and shows.
