Draft Voluntary Planning Agreement for Proposed Development known as “Jacaranda Ponds”, Glossodia

Hawkesbury City Council is exhibiting a draft Voluntary Planning Agreement (VPA) for the proposed development known as “Jacaranda Ponds”, Glossodia. The draft VPA relates to development of land comprising:

  • Lot 52, DP 1104504, 123 Spinks Road, Glossodia,
  • Lot 20, DP 214753, 213 Spinks Road, Glossodia,
  • Lot 75, DP 214752, 361 Spinks Road, Glossodia,
  • Lot 3, DP 230943, 11 James Street, Glossodia,
  • Lot 44, DP 214755, 3 Derby Place, Glossodia,
  • Lot 50, DP 751637, 746A Kurmond Road, Freemans Reach,
  • Lots 1, 2 and 3, DP 784300, 780A–780C Kurmond Road, North Richmond

The draft VPA is complementary to Hawkesbury Local Environmental Plan 2012 (Amendment No 5) which rezoned the above mentioned land to enable the development of the site for approximately 580 residential allotments, a range of community-recreation facilities, environmental corridors, and a new package plant sewer system.

The objective of the draft VPA is for the developer (EJ Cooper and Son Pty Ltd) to provide Council with road works, community works, cash contributions, and dedication of lands required as a result of the proposed development.

The draft VPA, an Explanatory Note and other supporting documentation are on public exhibition 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday at the Council offices, 366 George Street, Windsor for the period Friday 13 March 2015 to Friday 17 April 2015 and can also be viewed on Council’s website www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au.

Interested persons are invited to inspect the draft VPA and other supporting documentation. Written submissions concerning the provisions in the draft VPA may be made to Council throughout the abovementioned exhibition period. Submissions should be referenced “Jacaranda Ponds VPA” and can be posted to Hawkesbury City Council, PO Box 146, WINDSOR NSW 2756, faxed to (02) 4587 7740, or emailed to council@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au throughout the exhibition period.

The last day for the receipt of submissions is Monday 20 April 2015.

Please note confidentiality is not available to persons who make a submission. The details of any submissions may be included in a Council report or forwarded to the proponent where it may help to resolve issues raised in the submission. Information (including copies of submissions) may also be released in accordance with Council’s Access to Information policy and made available on Council’s website.

Any comments about this proposal may contain information that is personal information, such as information that identifies you, etc, for the purposes of the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1988. The inclusion of personal information with your submission is voluntary. However, if not provided Council will not be able to contact you about the proposed agreement. The information will be stored in Council''s electronic records system and paper files. For your protection, Council recommends that you do not include defamatory comments in your submission.

Community Information - Bridge Closures 23/3/15

Bridges temporarily closed on Upper Macdonald Road, Upper Macdonald

To allow geotechnical testing, two bridges located on Upper Macdonald Road (approximately 14 and 20kms north of St Albans Village) will be closed to vehicles on Monday, 23 March 2015 between the hours of 9am and 3pm.

Hawkesbury City Council has received a development application for landfill, a farm shed and igloos at the above property. The development includes retrospective works. The applicant is Aconsult. Hawkesbury City Council is the consent authority.

The proposed development is defined as integrated development under Section 91 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 because an approval under the Water Management Act 2000. The approval body is the Office of Water.

The development application and supporting information will be on public exhibition for the period 5/03/2015 to 19/03/2015. All plans and details may be inspected between 8:30am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday, at Council''s Administration Office, 366 George Street, Windsor.

During the exhibition period any person may make a submission in writing to Council in relation to the development application, quoting reference DA0088/15. Where a submission by way of objection is made, the grounds for objection are to be specified in the submission. Compliance Officer - Parking - CP030RS

This position provides a great opportunity for a Parking Officer who is looking to expand their compliance experience. While the main focus of the position will be to enforce parking and related regulations in the Hawkesbury area through effective patrolling and surveillance of public streets and council car parking areas, there will be an opportunity to undertake other compliance and enforcement related activities.

For this position you must have highly developed customer service and conflict resolution skills as well as the ability to demonstrate a commitment to ethics, probity and transparency in decision making. Ideally you should have also completed the SEINS Infringement Processing training as well as have an understanding of relevant legislation or local government ordinance activities.

Applicants must have own reliable transport for work related travel and expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with Award provisions.

Salary: Grade 10 with a commencing rate of pay of $1016.40 gross per week for 35 hours plus 9.5% Superannuation and the opportunity to progress through Council''s Salary System. Excellent working conditions apply including participation in a nine-day fortnight working arrangement.
