Colbee Park Plan of Management and Masterplan

Hawkesbury City Council is preparing a Plan of Management and Masterplan for Colbee Park in McGraths Hill. These plans will guide how the park will be used and developed in the future.

Community consultation is a vital part of the planning process and your contribution is welcomed.

Have your say about how you use Colbee Park, how you would like to use it in future, and any changes you’d like to see to the park.

Drop in to Colbee Park on Saturday 21 September, 9am – 11am to talk with Council staff and the project consultants.

Fernadell Park Plan of Management and Masterplan

Hawkesbury City Council is preparing a Plan of Management and Masterplan for Fernadell Park in Pitt Town, which is bounded by Bootles Lane, Stables Street, Fernadell Drive, Buckingham Street, and private land to the east.

Fernadell Park is being created through a developer contribution made to Hawkesbury City Council for a district level recreation facility for the Pitt Town community. The park is not yet developed, but it is expected that it will be used for sporting, recreation and community activities.

Council is asking the community how it wants to use Fernadell Park in the future.

Designated Development Proposal

Hawkesbury City Council has received a development application for Designated Development - Five Lot Torrens Title Subdivision at the above property. The applicant is David Charles O'Connor, MOC Pty Limited and Iontaobhas Pty Limited. Hawkesbury Local Planning Panel is the consent authority.

The proposed development is defined as integrated development under Section 4.46 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 because an approval under the Rural Fires Act 1997 is required. The approval body is the NSW Rural Fire Service.

The development application, environmental impact statement and supporting information will be on public exhibition for the period 12/09/2019 to 14/10/2019. All plans and details may be inspected between 8:30am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday, at Council's Administration Office, 366 George Street, Windsor. The application can also be inspected at the Department of Planning and Environment Offices at 320 Pitt St, Sydney.

During the exhibition period any person may make a submission in writing to Council in relation to the development application, quoting reference DA0308/19. Where a submission by way of objection is made, the grounds for objection are to be specified in the submission. Should you lodge a submission, your views will be taken into account as part of our assessment and a reply will be forwarded to you when the application is determined.

Please note that confidentiality is not available to objectors. The details of any submissions may be included in a Council report or forwarded to the applicant where it may help to resolve design or operational problems. Information (including copies of submissions) may also be released in accordance with Council Policy for Access to Information.

Under Section 10.4(5) of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, any person who makes a submission to Council is required to disclose any political donation or gift. Any submission made is to be accompanied by a Political Donation and Gift Disclosure Statement. This statement is available from Hawkesbury City Council.

Once the application is determined, any person who made an objection to the proposal, or is dissatisfied with the determination made by the Hawkesbury Local Planning Panel, may appeal to the Land and Environment Court.
