Eat Art

Eat Art explores a universal aspect of human existence – food and its influence on our daily lives and imaginations. What and how we eat can reflect contemporary life, just as ‘national’ eating habits can represent cultures. The depiction and re-creation of food in art means it reaches beyond its biological necessity. In Eat Art the symbolic dimensions are revealed, stimulating not just an appetite for eating, but for ideas, for creativity and the potential for creating change towards a more thoughtful and delicious future.

Eat Art featured artists include Marian Abboud, Cath Barcan, Mechelle Bounpraseuth, Lucy Culliton, Phil Ferguson, Chrissy Flanagan, Kenny Pittock, Ben Tankard, Dawn Tan.
