National Science Week 2025 hits the Library, Museum and Gallery this August
Calling all young scientists - Hawkesbury City Council has an out of this world series of workshops and displays coming to the Library, Museum and Gallery for National Science Week 2025.
Taking place from 9-17 August, National Science Week is Australia’s annual celebration of science and technology. Running each year in August, it features more than 2,000 events around Australia. The theme for 2025 is “Decoding the Universe”.
Hawkesbury Library Service will be holding interactive pop-up displays at Richmond Branch Library and Central Library, Windsor. There will be hands-on fun for all ages making a great outing for the whole family. Discover how eyes see, experiment with holograms, gravity, laser beams, Morse code and more!
Aspiring young archaeologists can get their hands dirty in Hawkesbury Regional Museum’s mini dig boxes. Use brushes and tools to uncover hidden treasures buried in the sand and carefully record what you find on our artefact record sheets.
The fun continues at Hawkesbury Regional Gallery for the creative scientists among us with family workshops and syllabus-linked learning opportunities for primary and home school groups.
