With a Hawkesbury Library Service membership, younger members can use some great online resources.
The Library has the following online tools for children:
Britannica Online provides an easy way to search and find information at several reading levels. It provides access to the Complete Encyclopaedia as well as junior level (aged 8-11) and a student level (aged 12+). It contains more than 150,000 articles, links to over 20,000 internet sites and access to over 750 full text journals and magazines.

Busy Things aims to make learning fun for kids. The animated characters and colourful settings encourage children to play and explore the hundreds of curriculum linked games, activities and downloadable resources. The program is designed for 3-6 year olds to develop skills in problem solving, reasoning, numeracy, communication, language and literacy.

Literacy Planet is a fun way for children to improve their literacy skills. It has been designed by Australian educators and aligned to the Australian curriculum. The gamified, interactive and engaging content is idea for independent learning at home. The sequenced, comprehensive content take the child through a structured learning journey. They receive immediate feedback at the completion of every exe3rcise and will develop skills in spelling grammar, comprehension, sight words, reading and phonics. The program is designed for Years K-6 but is adaptable to suit secondary school levels of ability and learning.

Library members can download eBooks and audiobooks for free.
Titles automatically expire at end of the loan period and do not need to be "returned" – say goodbye to overdue notices!

Tumble Book Library
Tumble Book Library is a collection of animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they'll love. The electronic stories are created by adding animation, sound, music and narration to existing picture books. The site is easy for children to navigate and allows them to hear stories read as well as allowing them to read along with the narrator. Each story comes with puzzles and games geared to ensure reading comprehension. They variety of books has been selected to suit children at all reading levels in lower primary.
