Coronavirus (COVID-19) - Updates for Hawkesbury Residents

To protect the people of NSW from the evolving COVID-19 outbreak, current stay-at-home orders are extended across all of Greater Sydney. At this time the both Libraries are closed, please check back for further updates. While you can use the 24 hour returns chutes to return items, due dates and reservation pickup dates have been extended to cater for the closure.

Paint Hawkesbury REaD

Paint the Town REaD was first developed in the rural Australian town of Parkes in the 1990s, with the goal of bringing the whole community together around the message of, “Read, talk, sing and rhyme with your child from birth". It has since grown to include 37 Local Government Areas including the Hawkesbury group which was established in 2013.

The Hawkesbury Library Service is an active member and assists in organising the annual reading day and other literacy events throughout the year.  Puddles the reading dragon is Hawkesbury’s reading mascot.
