Summer Reading Club

Be part of the Summer Reading Club with Hawkesbury Library Service from 1 December - 31 January.

This free school holiday program is suitable for children aged 0-16. It is designed to encourage a love of reading while continuing literacy skills development. The fun activities and challenges will keep them busy during the long summer break.

Children record the books they read from 1 December to 31 January and are rewarded with a coupon for every log completed (5 or 15 books depending on their reading level). The coupons can be exchanged for prizes at the SRC Shop. The more books that are read, the more coupons to collect and the more prizes to choose.

There are 2 Reading Levels:

  • Read to Me - for emerging readers
The books can be read to the participant (15 books per log)
  • Read by Myself – for independent readers
The books must be read by participant and be appropriate for to their age and reading level (5 books per log)
