Maintaining Your Town

Maintaining our town is a key priority for Hawkesbury City Council as we continue working towards building a community that is loved by its people. Across the Hawkesbury, we carry out a range of ongoing works and minor improvements. These works include general playground maintenance, pothole patching, and grading on unsealed roads, all contributing to the upkeep and liveability of the Hawkesbury LGA.

Playground Updates

Hawkesbury City Council is making some important changes at some of our City’s playgrounds in the interest of community safety.

Council regularly inspects the condition of our local playgrounds in line with its rolling schedule of upgrades and replacements to ensure that our playgrounds are safe and continue to serve the needs of the community. Council also monitors the usage of its playgrounds to determine where the demand is.

Council needs to carefully allocate playgrounds where they are most needed while strictly managing its parks budget. Sometimes that means difficult decisions need to be made to prioritise the maintaining, upgrade or replacement of some playgrounds over others.

Council apologises for any inconvenience or disappointment caused by the changes and closure of these playgrounds, however community safety is Council’s highest priority.
