Burial Register
Hawkesbury City Council maintains a burial register in accordance with the Cemeteries and Crematoria Act 2013. The register includes ashes interments and burial records for Richmond Lawn, Pitt Town General, Wilberforce and St Albans cemeteries and will be updated monthly.
Burial records prior to the 1960’s were received from churches and funeral directors and many records are incomplete. It is important to note that these records are indicative only of burial locations and as such may not be exact. Not all burials have headstones making the location of graves difficult to identify.
The Hawkesbury region is home to many cemeteries, including heritage listed cemeteries.
A list of local cemeteries that have been transcribed and photographed can be located on the Hawkesbury on the Net – Cemetery Register site. A list of some local burial records transcribed from church parish register can be found on the Church Register site.
