Hawkesbury Sports Council

Hawkesbury City Council delegates the care, control, management and development of sporting facilities in the region to the Hawkesbury Sports Council so that decisions regarding resource allocation for sports facilities are made by the sporting public.

The Hawkesbury Sports Council was formed at a public meetings in 1990, under the guidance of Hawkesbury City Council, and was incorporated in January 1992 to be representative of the sporting community and specifically to undertake the control of active sporting facilities in the region.

The Sports Council receives an annual budget from Hawkesbury City Council, collects and retains all hire fees, applies for any available grants and employs it's own contractors to carry out maintenance of facilities.

Ground Closures

Ground Closures as at  Wednesday 25th May, 2022.  Grounds will be reinspected again by 2pm Thursday 26th  May, 2022.

All ground usage is subject to inspection prior to use and User Groups will be held financially responsible for damage to the grounds through misuse.

Hawkesbury Sports Council is endeavouring to open grounds as soon as possible.  In an effort to provide training grounds to as many clubs as possible, grounds are being open whilst areas of them are still considerably wet.  Clubs are requested to thoroughly inspect grounds prior to use and identify any areas that should not be trained on.

Prior to ground usage being approved all the usual requirements need to be met by winter user groups. These being:-

  1. The submission of a ground hire form
  2. The updating of all outstanding keys.
  3. The provision of insurance documentation.
