Hawkesbury Sports Council

Hawkesbury City Council delegates the care, control, management and development of sporting facilities in the region to the Hawkesbury Sports Council so that decisions regarding resource allocation for sports facilities are made by the sporting public.

The Hawkesbury Sports Council was formed at a public meetings in 1990, under the guidance of Hawkesbury City Council, and was incorporated in January 1992 to be representative of the sporting community and specifically to undertake the control of active sporting facilities in the region.

The Sports Council receives an annual budget from Hawkesbury City Council, collects and retains all hire fees, applies for any available grants and employs it's own contractors to carry out maintenance of facilities.

Ground Closures

Ground Closures as at Wednesday 21st May, 2025.  Grounds will not be inspected again until Thursday 22nd May, 2025.  Each ground is subject to inspection prior to use and User Groups will be held financially responsible for damage to the grounds through misuse.

Prior to ground usage being approved all the usual requirements need to be met by user groups. These being:-

  1. The submission of a ground hire form
  2. The updating of all outstanding keys.
  3. The provision of insurance documents.

In the event of additional rain, User Groups will be responsible for closing their respective grounds.
