Fernadell Park in Pitt Town will receive a redevelopment in line with the Masterplan, adopted by Council following community consultation.
The park will provide the growing Pitt Town community and surrounds with much-needed passive and active recreation space.
The works include:
- Integrated facilities for soccer and cricket along with cricket practice nets.
- Modified sports field/ event space
- New multi-purpose courts for netball and basketball
- New amenities building with canteen, public accessible toilets and change rooms facilities suitable for female and male players
- Kiosk/equipment storage facilities
- Multi age play area with shade sails
- Outdoor gym facilities
- Accessible pathways connecting throughout the precinct and natural areas
- Fenced off-leash dog area
- Ample off-street and on-grade parking space
- Shelters with barbecue facilities and picnic areas
- Integrated Community Centre
