Tenders are invited for Design and Construction of a new Sewer Rising Main ‘D’ and will be received up to 3pm on Wednesday, 10 November 2021.

Council (the Principal) is seeking Tenders from appropriately qualified and experienced Contractors, to provide Tender for Design and Construction of a new Sewer Rising Main ‘D’ in accordance with the terms and conditions of this RFT.

Tenders are invited for Laying 2700mm diameter RCP Pipes and Associated Works at 422 Cornwallis Road, Cornwallis and will be received up to 2pm on Tuesday, 9 November 2021.

Council (the Principal) is seeking Tenders from appropriately qualified and experienced Contractors, to provide Tender for Laying 2700mm diameter RCP Pipes and associated works at 442 Cornwallis Road, Cornwallis in accordance with the terms and conditions of this RFT.

Please note there is an Optional Site inspection (or Pre- Tender meeting) to be held on Thursday, 4 November 2021 at 9.30am at 442 Cornwallis Road, Cornwallis.

Public Exhibition - Draft Development Assessment Policy

Council at its Ordinary Meeting on 14 September 2021 resolved to place on exhibition its Draft Development Assessment Policy.

The Draft Development Assessment Policy will be on public exhibition from Thursday, 30 September 2021 to Friday, 29 October 2021.

The purpose of the Development Assessment Policy is to deliver an improved Development Assessment process for Council’s customers. This Policy will do this by:

  • Providing customer-focused services and communicating about the development assessment process to potential applicants
  • Providing greater transparency about the process of lodging and assessing DAs and Pre-DA advice applications
  • Supporting continuous improvement and enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the development assessment process, and
  • Establishing clear directions and timeframes for additional information requests.

A copy of the Draft Development Assessment Policy can be viewed during the exhibition period on Council’s online community engagement site  yourhawkesbury-yoursay.com.au

Public Exhibition of Draft Wayfinding and Signage Strategy

Hawkesbury City Council is inviting community members to view and comment on Council’s Draft Wayfinding and Signage Strategy, which will be on public exhibition from Thursday, 7 October 2021 to Friday, 5 November 2021.

The Draft Wayfinding and Signage Project aims to improve how visitors and residents are guided through the local government area to find the diverse experiences, attractions and services on offer. The Wayfinding and Signage Strategy is the first stage of the Wayfinding and Signage project.

Integrated Development Proposal

Hawkesbury City Council has received a development application for Subdivision - Demolition of Existing Structures, Subdivision into 20 Torrens Title Lots, 2 Super lots, Construction of a Public Road, Construction of Residential Flat Buildings and Associated Landscaping and Earthworks at the above property. The applicant is Universal Property Group Pty Ltd. Hawkesbury City Council is the consent authority.

The proposed development is defined as integrated development under Section 4.46 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 because an approval under the Rural Fires Act 1997 is required. The approval body is the NSW Rural Fire Service.

The development application and supporting information will be on public exhibition for the period 21/10/2021 to 18/11/2021.

During the exhibition period any person may make a submission in writing to Council in relation to the development application, quoting reference DA0261/21. Should you lodge a submission, your views will be taken into account as part of our assessment and a reply will be forwarded to you when the application is determined.

Please note that confidentiality is not available to objectors. The details of any submissions may be included in a Council report or forwarded to the applicant where it may help to resolve design or operational problems. Information (including copies of submissions) may also be released in accordance with Council Policy for Access to Information.

If you have any concerns about the proposal, it is suggested that you speak with the assessing officer so that all aspects may be fully discussed. Matters such as privacy, overshadowing and impact on adjoining owners are a normal part of our assessment.
