Tenders are invited for the Scheyville Road Safety Improvement Works (Realignment & VAS) and will be received up to 3pm on Tuesday, 4 May 2021.

Tender documents are available at Council’s Administration Building at 366 George Street, Windsor from Tuesday, 13 April 2021 for a non-refundable fee of $100 (incl. GST) or available free at WSROC e-tendering website at https://tenders.nsw.gov.au/wsroc/.

Tenders may only be submitted by the means described in the tender documents and must be received by the closing time. Late tenders will not be accepted.

The canvassing of Councillors will automatically disqualify the applicant from the tender process.

Consulting the Community

Draft Colbee Park Plan of Management and Masterplan - Colbee Park Masterplan

Members of the community are invited to provide comment on the draft Plan of Management and Landscape Masterplan for Colbee Park, McGraths Hill. The plans have been developed in consultation with the community and will guide how the park may be used, managed and improved in the future.

The draft documents can be found at www.yourhawkesbury-yoursay.com.au or via Council’s website at www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au via the Have Your Say tab.

You can have your say by any of the following methods:

Development of these plans does not represent a formal commitment to funding. These plans will be guiding documents; their main purpose is to ensure that any future works within the park will be consistent with the overall vision for the park. It is not anticipated that full development of the park will be completed in the short to medium term.

Public Exhibition of Draft Business Recovery Plan

Hawkesbury City Council is inviting community members to view and comment on Council’s Draft Business Recovery Plan, which will be on public exhibition from Thursday, 15 April 2021 until Thursday, 13 May 2021.

The Draft Business Recovery Plan has been developed in context of the recent bushfires, floods and the COVID-19 pandemic. Each of these events has had a compounding effect on the local business community. Council understands the importance of supporting Business through this recovery period and this plan seeks to assist our Business Community to:

  • improve the resilience, skills and networking among business owners
  • increase levels of visitation and spending by Sydneysiders
  • attract new investment in the form of new businesses, new residents and construction.

A copy of the Draft Business Recovery Plan can be viewed at:

  • Council’s Administration Building, 366 George Street, Windsor, Monday to Friday during opening hours 9am to 4pm
  • Richmond Branch Library, 29 West Market Street, Richmond, Monday to Friday 9:30am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 1pm
  • Hawkesbury Central Library, 300 George Street, Windsor, Monday to Friday 9am to 7pm, Saturday 9am to 1pm and Sunday 2pm to 5pm.

Draft Procurement Policy

A Draft Procurement Policy has been prepared in relation to Council’s approach to all its procurement activities, and to communicate this approach to those undertaking business with Council.

The Draft Policy is aimed at Council following procurement processes and practices that achieve an optimum balance between cost-effectiveness and other social, economic and environmental objectives, within the applicable legislative framework. The Draft Policy supports Council’s commitment to promote and encourage the use of local suppliers as well as promote sustainable and socially responsible procurement principles. As more environmentally sustainable and cost-effective products become available, Council will also lead by example by investing in environmentally sustainable products and processes. It is hoped that the implementation of the Procurement Policy has the potential to support Council in reducing its environmental footprint.

At its meeting on 30 March 2021, Council resolved to place the Draft Procurement Policy on public exhibition for a period of 28 days and seek submissions from interested parties.

Council’s Draft Procurement Policy will be available for view and comment on Council’s website www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au via the Have Your Say tab or the link www.yourhawkesbury-yoursay.com.au or between 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday at Council’s Administration Building at 366 George Street, Windsor from Thursday, 15 April 2021 until Thursday, 13 May 2021.
