Design and Construction of a Leachate System, Construction of Cell 6 and Capping of Cells 1 - 5 No T00112

Tenders are invited for the design and construction of a leachate system to convey leachate from the Council’s waste management facility (WMF) to the Council’s sewerage system and a return pipeline to carry recycled water from Bligh Park to the WMF, and for the construction of Cell 6 and the Capping of Cells 1-5, and will be received up to 3pm on Wednesday, 4 August 2021.

Hawkesbury City Council operates a waste management facility (WMF) at No. 1 The Driftway, South Windsor. Currently leachate is collected and disposed of by irrigation on Cells 1-4. The Tender requires inter alia the design and construction of a leachate system to convey the leachate from the existing cells and Cell 6, to be constructed as part of this contract, to the South Windsor Treatment Plant for disposal into Council’s sewerage system in Bligh Park. Council also requires the design and construction of a rising main from the Bligh Park recycled water system to the WMF and properties adjacent to the WMF.

The Tender also requires the construction of a new Cell 6 and the capping of Cells 1-5 (design in the Tender documents).

Tender documents are available at Council’s Administration Building at 366 George Street, Windsor from the Tuesday, 6 July 2021 for a non-refundable fee of $100 (incl. GST) or available free at WSROC e-tendering website at https://tenders.nsw.gov.au/wsroc
Tenders may only be submitted by the means described in the tender documents and must be received by the closing time. Late tenders will not be accepted.

Please note there is a Compulsory Site inspection to be held at 10am on Wednesday, 21 July 2021 at Council’s Waste Management Facility at No. 1 The Driftway, South Windsor.

The canvassing of Councillors will automatically disqualify the applicant from the tender process.

Notice of Public Hearing – Reclassification of Land - 9 Industry Road, Vineyard, 312 Windsor Road, Vineyard, 7 Fernadell Drive, Pitt Town

A Public Hearing will be held to provide opportunity for the community’s views to be heard about a proposal to reclassify land at 9 Industry Road, Vineyard, 312 Windsor Road, Vineyard, and 7 Fernadell Drive, Pitt Town from ‘Community’ land to ‘Operational’ land.

The Public Hearing is scheduled to be held on Thursday, 5 August 2021 at 6pm.

The hearing will be chaired by an independent person from Parkland Planners.

Due to the current NSW public health order with respect to COVID-19, the hearing will be held online using the Zoom platform.

Interested persons will need to register with Council by close of business on Friday, 30 July 2021 to:

  • Virtually attend or listen to the hearing
  • Make a submission at the hearing

Public Hearing - Woodbury Reserve – Community Land Re-categorisation

A Public Hearing will be held to formally re-categorise the community land comprising Woodbury Reserve, Glossodia to: Sportsground; Park; Natural Area Watercourse; Natural Area Bushland; and General Community Use.

Date: Monday, 12 July 2021

Time: 6pm to pm

Venue: Glossodia Community Centre at 162 Golden Valley Way, Glossodia.
