Tenders are invited for Collection, Transportation and Disposal of Biosolids from South Windsor and McGraths Hill Sewage Treatment Plants and will be received up to 3pm on Wednesday, 31 March 2021.

Council is seeking Tenders from appropriately qualified and experienced Contractors for the collection, transportation, reuse, disposal and/or processing of biosolids from South Windsor Sewage Treatment Plant (SWSTP) and McGraths Hill Sewage Treatment Plant (MHSTP) owned by Council in accordance with the terms and conditions of the RFT.

Tender documents are available at Council’s Administration Building at 366 George Street, Windsor from Tuesday, 9 March 2021 for a non-refundable fee of $100 (incl. GST) or available free at WSROC e-tendering website at https://tenders.nsw.gov.au/wsroc/.

Tenders may only be submitted by the means described in the tender documents and must be received by the closing time. Late tenders will not be accepted.

Please note there is a Compulsory Site inspection to be held on Thursday, 18 March at 1pm at SWSTP located at 347 Fairey Road, South Windsor and at 2pm at MHSTP located 10-38 Mulgrave Road, Mulgrave.

The canvassing of Councillors will automatically disqualify the applicant from the tender process.

Quotations are sought for the Management of Irrigated Land on behalf of the Hawkesbury City Council and will be received up to 3pm on Wednesday, 7 April 2021.

This provides an opportunity for the management of irrigated land (approx. 38 Ha under irrigation) for the purpose of an income producing crop (including turf).

The land borders South Creek, Windsor Road and Hawkesbury Valley Way and the wastewater treatment plant ponds at McGraths Hill Treatment Plant. The land has been used for many years as irrigated pasture; originally growing Lucerne now growing Sorghum and Barley. Previously the harvested product has been bailed and sold (approximately up to ten cuts per year). In October 2020 an area of 27ha of the land was replanted with Sorghum and other grasses poisoned. The Sorghum has already been cut and baled.

Irrigation water is unlimited and is treated wastewater from McGraths Hill Treatment Plant. Council intends to maintain the irrigation system at its expense.

The property is available for immediate occupation, subject to relevant statutory approvals for the proposed use.
