Public Exhibition of Draft Wayfinding and Signage Strategy

Hawkesbury City Council is inviting community members to view and comment on Council’s Draft Wayfinding and Signage Strategy, which will be on public exhibition from Thursday, 7 October 2021 to Friday, 5 November 2021.

The Draft Wayfinding and Signage Project aims to improve how visitors and residents are guided through the local government area to find the diverse experiences, attractions and services on offer. The Wayfinding and Signage Strategy is the first stage of the Wayfinding and Signage project.

Council will receive submissions in writing, addressed to the General Manager, by mail to Hawkesbury City Council, PO Box 146 Windsor NSW 2756, or by email to council@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au up to close of business on Friday, 5 November 2021.

Should you lodge a submission, it will be considered, along with any other submissions received and may be included in Council’s meeting business paper. Your submission, including any personal information, is accessible by any person upon written application, subject to Council’s Privacy Management Plan and the Government Information (Public Access) Act, 2009. The inclusion of personal information in your submission is voluntary, however, if not provided, may affect consideration of the submission. The information will ultimately be stored in Council’s records system.

Hawkesbury City Council - Expression of Interest for Liveability Project – Revitalising Town Centres - Construction Phase - EOI No E00007

Expressions are invited for Liveability Project – Revitalising Town Centres – Construction Phase and will be received up to 2pm on Tuesday, 16 November 2021.

Hawkesbury City Council is seeking to engage the services of suitably qualified Contractors to work with Council to deliver the construction phase of the Liveability Project for the town centres of Richmond, South Windsor and Windsor.

This project is supported by the Western Parkland City Liveability Program and funded by all three levels of government via the Western Sydney City Deal.

EOI documents are available from Tuesday, 26 October 2021 free at WSROC e-tendering website at https://tenders.nsw.gov.au/wsroc/

EOI may only be submitted by the means described in the documents and must be received by the closing time. Late offers will not be accepted.

Please note there is a Compulsory Site inspection (or Pre-Tender meeting) to be held on Wednesday, 3 November 2021 – 1pm to 3pm onsite Windsor Mall (meeting outside 156 George Street, Windsor).

The canvassing of Councillors will automatically disqualify the applicant from the EOI process.

Integrated Development Proposal

Lot 2 DP 1164124,189 Windsor Road VINEYARD NSW 2765

Hawkesbury City Council has received a development application for Construction of a new mixed use community hub to include a childcare centre, gym and food and beverage premises at the above property. The applicant is Willow Tree Planning. Hawkesbury City Council is the consent authority.

The proposed development is defined as integrated development under Section 4.46 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 because an approval under the Rural Fires Act 1997 is required. The approval body is the NSW Rural Fire Service.

The development application and supporting information will be on public exhibition for the period 28/10/2021 to 11/11/2021. All plans and details may be inspected between 9:00am and 4:00pm Monday to Friday, at Council's Administration Office, 366 George Street, Windsor.

During the exhibition period any person may make a submission in writing to Council in relation to the development application, quoting reference DA0271/21. Where a submission by way of objection is made, the grounds for objection are to be specified in the submission. Should you lodge a submission, your views will be taken into account as part of our assessment and a reply will be forwarded to you when the application is determined.

Please note that confidentiality is not available to objectors. The details of any submissions may be included in a Council report or forwarded to the applicant where it may help to resolve design or operational problems. Information (including copies of submissions) may also be released in accordance with Council Policy for Access to Information.

If you have any concerns about the proposal, it is suggested that you speak with the assessing officer so that all aspects may be fully discussed. Matters such as privacy, overshadowing and impact on adjoining owners are a normal part of our assessment.
