Winter school holiday fun at the Gallery and Library

Head to Hawkesbury Regional Gallery and Hawkesbury Central Library in Windsor these school holidays for a huge line up of fun for all ages, with activities ranging from art and craft to sustainability and  reading – something for everyone!

GUIDE DOG EXPERIENCE
Monday, 28 June 10:30am – 11.30am @ Hawkesbury Central Library
Meet some of the Guide Dogs that are training at the Guide Dog Centre, Glossodia. Learn about the journey they take from cute puppy to working companion as they endure an intensive program to develop specialised skills.

SUNSET DOLPHINS - WATERCOLOUR ART
Wednesday, 30 June 10am – midday @ Hawkesbury Regional Gallery
Create a scenic sunset with silhouettes of dolphins using watercolours.

KEEPSAKE JOURNAL
Wednesday, 30 June 2pm – 3:30pm @ Hawkesbury Central Library
RE-purpose an old book into a journal to fill with treasures, artwork, and other memories. For 8 years+.

HORSEHAIR DAYS - PASTELS ART
Thursday, 1 July 10am – midday @ Hawkesbury Regional Gallery
Use chalk pastels to create a colourful horse portrait with a wild flowing mane of hair.

CLASSIC MOVIES
Friday, 2 July 2pm – 3:30pm @ Hawkesbury Central Library
Relax and RE-watch some classic animated movies. Bring your own snacks and drinks. Check Eventbrite or call the library for the titles that will be screening.

RECYCLED CREATIONS
Tuesday, 6 July 10am – midday @ Hawkesbury Central Library
RE-use old boxes, containers, lids, paper, and other material with a little imagination to construct fantastic creations that move. For 5 years+

GOLDEN STILL-LIFE - PAINT & GOLD FOIL
Thursday, 8 July 10am – midday @ Hawkesbury Regional Gallery
Use acrylic paints and gold foil to create a stunning shimmery still-life of pears.

PAPER PLANES
Thursday, 8 July 2pm – 3:30pm @ Hawkesbury Central Library
RE-cycle A4 paper into flying machines. Learn how to make different designs then launch them to test which one flies best. For 8 years+

HAPPY FEET - 3D PENGUIN SCULPTURE
Friday, 9 July 10am – midday @ Hawkesbury Regional Gallery
Learn the art of 3D paper sculpting as you create your own 3D penguins. For 8years+

CLASSIC MOVIES
