Hawkesbury Flood Recovery Centres – reminder

flood recoveryThe Hawkesbury Flood Recovery Centres at South Windsor Family Centre, 6 Greenhills Way, South Windsor and The Retreat, 5564 Old Northern Road, Wisemans Ferry will remain open on selected week days until Friday, 27 May 2022. For current opening hours please visit www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au (click on the blue flood information banner).

Individuals, families, small business owners, farmers and all flood affected people are encouraged to come to these one stop locations to access information, support and help in many areas including:

  • Clean-up services
  • Financial help
  • Insurance and legal support
  • Business support
  • Mental health and well-being support
  • How to access to grants and programs that are available.

Come in and have a chat with our friendly staff so that you can get help from a range of services offered by Service NSW and many other agencies all in one location. They can help with registering for emergency accommodation, replacing damaged documents, booking flood waste collections, accessing mental health services and more.

Over 2,200 people have already registered for flood recovery assistance and it is hoped that anyone else needing assistance will be able to attend the recovery centres before they close. Continued support will be made available through the Hawkesbury Community Hubs once the Recovery Centres close. Many roads have been damaged due to floods and work continues on Hawkesbury roads. Please report road damage at www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au/_resources/forms/roads-reporting-form
