History talks March - imageHawkesbury Library Service will host some interesting history related events in March that are open to everyone.

Enhance your family history –Tuesday, 12 March

Join a family history session titled ‘Boring to Brilliant!’ and learn how to enhance your family history and take it to the next level with Local History Librarian, Michelle Nichols. This online session will be held on Tuesday, 12 March 6pm to 7pm and is delivered online via Zoom. Bookings essential via Eventbrite https://hawkesburylibrary.eventbrite.com in order to receive the access link and cost $5.

The Great North Road – Wednesday, 13 March

Discover the history of the Great North Road, a significant road that was built between Sydney and the Hunter Valley. Join local historian Elizabeth Roberts at the Hawkesbury Family History Group meeting on Wednesday, 13 March. As the guest speaker, she will discuss this historic road which was an extraordinary engineering feat of the early nineteenth century. Find out what life was like for the men working and building the road that linked the Hawkesbury with the north.

Open to all, this free event will commence at 10am with morning tea served at 11am. If you attend in person at Hawkesbury Central Library at 300 George Street, Windsor there is no need to book. If you are unable to attend at the Library in person, you can participate free of charge via Zoom but it is essential to book via Eventbrite https://hawkesburylibrary.eventbrite.com in order to receive the access link.
