Have your say on our Draft Social Infrastructure Assessment and Strategy

9 October 2024

A picture of three women walking along a park pathAfter extensive engagement with stakeholders about Council’s community facilities and services, we are now inviting public feedback on our Draft Social Infrastructure Assessment and Strategy by Monday 4 November.

Social infrastructure includes a wide range of services and facilities that meet the community’s needs for education, health, recreation, cultural expression, support and community development. These include community centres, libraries, playgrounds, pools, sports fields and parks across the Hawkesbury.

The strategy aims to guide future decisions about planning, funding and management of existing open space and recreation facilities, as well as community and cultural facilities.

More than 300 members of local organisations and community groups across the Hawkesbury Local Government Area were consulted in preparing the draft Plan.

Once we’ve received community feedback, the Draft Hawkesbury Social Infrastructure Assessment and Strategy will be finalised and presented to Council for adoption.

You can view the Draft Hawkesbury Social Infrastructure Assessment and Strategy at Council’s Administration Building, 366 George Street, Windsor, from Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm, or at www.yourhawkesbury-yoursay.com.au

Submissions can be made online via the Survey Tab at www.yourhawkesbury-yoursay.com.au/draft-hawkesbury-social-infrastructure-assessment-and-strategy by email to council@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au or by mail to the General Manager, Hawkesbury City Council, PO Box 146 Windsor NSW 2756.
