Windsor Town Centre shines bright with Grand Reopening Celebration!

12 August 2025

Windsor came alive this weekend as the community gathered to celebrate the official opening of the upgraded Windsor Town Centre – a vibrant transformation years in the making!

Official Ribbon CuttingWindsor Mall was buzzing with live music, roving entertainment, face painting, giveaways, and special offers from local stores and cafes, creating a celebration that welcomed residents and visitors alike. The event was an opportunity for the community to visit the revitalised Windsor Town Centre, take in the new and the old, and be reminded of Windsor’s history and charm.

Cutting the ribbon and officially opening Windsor Mall were Member for Blacktown and Parliamentary Secretary for Planning and Public Spaces, Stephen Bali MP and Hawkesbury City Mayor Les Sheather.

Minister for Planning and Public Spaces The Hon. Paul Scully MP said this transformation brings new life to one of Sydney’s most historic towns.

“It’s great to see this upgrade complete and I look forward to seeing the community embrace this renewed public space which has modernised Windsor’s historic mall while protecting its unique architecture and history.”

Member for Blacktown and Parliamentary Secretary for Planning and Public Spaces, Stephen Bali MP said the NSW Government’s funding has helped improve community facilities and provide renewed urban amenity to complement new housing across the Hawkesbury and surrounding areas.

“It’s great to see the upgraded town centre, which was made possible thanks to NSW Government funding, being celebrated by the community.”

Hawkesbury City Mayor Les Sheather said: “This is an exciting day for Windsor and for the Hawkesbury. After many years of planning, we finally have our renewed town centre.

“Windsor Town Centre is one of the oldest towns in Sydney and its rich history should be celebrated every day. The renewed town centre has brought new life to this iconic town, and we look forward to welcoming visitors, new and returning, to Windsor for many years to come.”
