Description:Work is underway on a new playground at Freemans Reach Reserve. The new playground, replacing the older play equipment, includes a new climbing tower with slide, swings, obstacle course, roundabout, rocker, seating and landscaping. Description:Following a recent inspection of this playground, it has been decided that the softfall is no longer safe to use. A decision has been made to prioritise the replacement of the softfall. We anticipate this will be completed in November 2024. Until then, this playground will remain closed.

Description:Roadworks will be commencing second week of September at Argyle St, South Windsor, with the section of works taking place between Mileham street and Sovereign place. The scope includes kerb and gutter repairs, removal of existing pavement an new asphalt pavement installed.
Bowen Mountain Road, Grose Vale - Road Upgrade Program

Description:The works involve excavation, pavement stabilisation, stormwater drainage improvement work, bitumen pavement sealing, table drain grading and line marking. Council has engaged a contractor for this road reconstruction project, and it is anticipated work will commence in the first week of September 2024 . Appropriate traffic control measures will be used to ensure commuters can continue to use the road safely for the duration of the project.

Frank Mason Reserve, South Windsor - Playspace Upgrade Program

Description:Draft design - from July 2024. Construction complete - by June 2026. We have an exciting new upgrade planned for Frank Mason Reserve playground, so it is more welcoming and accessible for everyone to enjoy. Frank Mason Reserve is a local sporting park situated within a residential community at South Windsor. The site is located in between McQuade Ave and Windsor Golf Course, South Windsor, providing play opportunities for local residents.
Jack Gow Memorial Park, McGraths Hill - Playspace Upgrade Program

Description:It is proposed to replace the existing playground with a new play space for children 1-12 years old. It will include shade, seats, bin, new signage, and a pathway connection from the footpath. The softfall will be a combination of mulch with rubber in key wear areas. The replacement of the play equipment at Jack Gow Reserve is expected to be completed by the end of January 2025, weather permitting. This includes 12-16 weeks for the factory construction of the play items, and 6-9 weeks for installation.
