Waste Collection Services
Garbage and Green Waste Collection

There are no changes to the garbage and garden organics collection services. Standard services will be provided including collections scheduled on public holidays. Garbage enquiries: 02 4560 4444.

Recycling

Council will provide a weekly recycling collection service between Monday, 28 December 2020 to

Friday, 8 January 2021 (to eligible properties paying for a domestic waste service).This service will be provided on scheduled collection days including public holidays. Bin collection days remain the same even on public holidays.

Public Notices

Development Applications must be submitted online from 31st December 2020

Hawkesbury City Council has partnered with the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment to provide digital services to the community on the NSW Planning Portal at www.planningportal.nsw.gov.au, so that Development Applications can be submitted online.

Council has been successfully accepting Development Application (DA) lodgements through the NSW Planning Portal since May 2020. From 31st December 2020,it is mandatory for all DAs to be submitted via the Portal.

The online platform allows homeowners and businesses to lodge applications from their home or office.

Community members can also see in real-time what developments are proposed in their areas.

Council has computers in a COVID-safe environment with wipes and sanitiser available for use by the applicant at Council’s Administration Building, 366 George Street, Windsor.

From 31st December 2020, online lodgement via the NSW Planning Portal will include lodgement for:

  • Modification and Review Applications
  • Construction Certificates
  • Complying Development Certificates
  • Occupation Certificates
  • Subdivision Certificates

  1. Register for a NSW Planning Portal account to start your application
