Exhibition of the Draft Markets Policy

Council at its Ordinary Meeting on 10 November 2020 resolved to place on exhibition the Draft Markets Policy.

The Draft Markets Policy will be on public exhibition from Friday, 20 November 2020 to Friday, 18 December 2020.

The purpose of the Markets Policy is to establish a consistent process for assessing and approving markets held on Council land or Crown lands under the care and control of Council; demonstrate the level of commitment required from market operators to achieve quality markets operations and facilitate well managed markets that help to support and contribute to the local communities complementing the offerings of local businesses.

Council’s Administration Building, 366 George Street, Windsor during office hours 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday,
Richmond Library during office hours 9:30am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 1pm on Saturdays,
Windsor Library, 300 George Street, Windsor during office hours 9am to 7pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 1pm on Saturdays and 2pm to 5pm on Sundays.

Council will receive submissions in writing, addressed to the General Manager, by mail to Hawkesbury City Council, PO Box 146 Windsor NSW 2756, or by email to council@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au up to close of business on Friday, 18 December 2020.

Should you lodge a submission, it will be considered, along with any other submissions received and may be included in Council’s meeting business paper. Your submission, including any personal information, is accessible by any person upon written application, subject to Council’s Privacy Management Plan and the Government Information (Public Access) Act, 2009. The inclusion of personal information in your submission is voluntary, however, if not provided, may affect consideration of the submission. The information will ultimately be stored in Council’s records system.

Council at its Ordinary Meeting on 10 November 2020 resolved to place on exhibition the Draft Windsor Mall Policy.

The Draft Windsor Mall Policy will be on public exhibition from the Friday 20 November 2020 to Friday 18 December 2020.

The purpose of the Windsor Mall Policy seeks to:

  • Activate Windsor Mall by permitting a range of events and performances.
  • Establish a process for assessing and approving activities in the Windsor Mall.
  • Advise the standard and style of furniture for outdoor dining and footpath trading permits.

McMahon Park Plan of Management

Hawkesbury City Council is developing a Plan of Management for McMahon Park, 30 McMahons Park Road, Kurrajong. This plan will guide how the park may be used, managed and developed in the future.

Community consultation is a vital part of the planning process and your contribution is welcomed.

Have your say about how you use McMahon Park, how you would like to use it in future, and any changes you’d like to see to the park.

Notice of Proposed Naming of Reserve - Freemans Reach

NOTICE OF PROPOSED NAMING OF RESERVE – FREEMANS REACH

Notice is given that Hawkesbury City Council in accordance with the Geographical Names Act, 1966 and by resolution dated 27 October 2020, is seeking public comment regarding the naming of a Reserve located at 204 Freemans Reach Road, Freemans Reach as ‘The Breakaway’. The proposal also seeks to name the two Ovals within the Reserve as ‘The Charlie Greentree Oval’ and ‘The George Greentree Oval’.

The Reserve has informally been known as ‘The Breakaway’ for many years. This proposal seeks for formalise the Reserve name.

The names proposed for the Ovals have been recommended as both Mr Charlie and George Greentree have provided decades of volunteer service to the Freemans Reach Cricket Club and the Hawkesbury Cricket in general. This has involved running the club, coaching teams and fostering young talented Hawkesbury cricketers through representative ranks.
