Have Your Say on Yarramundi & Navua Reserve Draft Plan of Management

5 January 2021

Hawkesbury City Council is preparing a joint Plan of Management for Yarramundi Reserve and Navua Reserve, located at the confluence of the Grose and Hawkesbury-Nepean Rivers. The plan will guide future use, management and long-term recreation opportunities to be provided at the park.

Community consultation is a vital part of the planning process and your contribution is welcomed. You can have your say via Council’s website www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au via the Have Your say tab or the link www.yourhawkesbury-yoursay.com.au until Monday, 15 February 2021 by completing the questionnaires found under the Survey tab:

  • Community Engagement Questionnaire – Yarramundi Reserve Plan of Management
  • Community Engagement Questionnaire – Navua Reserve Plan of Management.

If you would like to make a submission, please quote Reference: Plan of Management for Yarramundi Reserve and Navua Reserve. Council will consider all submissions received at a subsequent Council Meeting. Submissions may be made in writing, addressed to the General Manager, Hawkesbury City Council by mail PO Box 146, Windsor NSW 2756, or by email to council@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au or by completing an online questionnaire via Your Hawkesbury Your Say as above, up to close of business by Monday, 15 February 2021.

Development of the Draft Plan of Management does not represent a formal commitment to funding. The plan will be a guiding document; its main purpose is to consider and allow for appropriate usage and to prioritise potential capital works projects to further the recreational opportunities of the site whilst ensuring all values are protected.

Should you have any enquiries with respect to this matter, please contact Council’s Parks and Recreation Manager on (02) 4560 4444 or email enquiries to council@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au
