Only one week left to nominate for the 2022 Hawkesbury Australia Day Awards! Nominations close 5pm Friday, 29 October 2021.

The Australia Day Awards are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate and congratulate the many individuals, community groups and community organisations that put so much time and effort into making our community such a great place to live, work and play.

We all know someone who inspires us; these awards can provide recognition for individuals, community groups or community organisations that go above and beyond in our local community.

You can nominate a mate in one or more of these categories:

  • Citizen of the Year
  • Young Citizen of the Year
  • Local Hero Award
  • Volunteer of the Year
  • Sportsperson of the Year
  • Junior Sportsperson of the Year
  • All Abilities Sportsperson of the Year
  • Community Arts Award
  • Cultural Heritage Award
  • Environmental Award
  • Community Organisation of the Year
  • Commemorative Plaque.

The winners will be announced on Tuesday, 26 January 2022 at a special awards presentation. Nominees, nominators and their guests will be invited to attend Council's Australia Day Award Ceremony.

Visit hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au/_resources/forms/australiadayawards2022 for more information or to nominate someone - all nominations need to be completed online by 5pm Friday, 29 October 2021. Unsuccessful nominations may also be resubmitted in subsequent years.
